Accessibility statement
I want this site to be comfortable and usable for everyone, including people who are neurodivergent, disabled, chronically ill, or just having a low-spoon day. It aims to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, level AA.
Display settings
Use the Accessibility button at the top of any page to change how the site looks. Your choices are saved on your device only, and Reset all puts everything back.
- Text size: make all text larger, in four steps.
- High contrast: stronger colors and borders.
- Dyslexia-friendly font: switches all text to OpenDyslexic.
- Text spacing: more room between lines, letters and words.
- Reduce motion: turns off animation and smooth scrolling.
- Calm mode: hides decorative art and textures for a quieter page.
If your device is already set to reduce motion, the site follows it automatically.
How the site is built
- Everything works with a keyboard, with a visible focus outline and a "Skip to content" link.
- Pages use clear headings in order, so screen readers can move around easily.
- Images have text descriptions; decorative art is hidden from screen readers.
- Text and background colors meet contrast guidelines.
- Form fields have visible labels, and required fields are marked.
- The site works when zoomed to 200% and on small screens.
